Unbridled Resume / Mock Interview Unit

Unbridled Mock Interview Day

Unbridled Mock Interview Day

Resumes and Cover Letters

I learned that a strong resume is strategic, not just a list of jobs. Formatting should be clean and easy to scan, and bullet points should focus on impact, not just duties. I strengthened my resume by using action verbs and highlighting measurable responsibilities. I also learned that a cover letter should explain why you fit the company — not repeat the resume — so I aligned mine specifically to Unbridled's event execution focus.

AI Use

I used AI to refine wording, improve bullet points, and practice interview questions. It helped me phrase my experience more professionally and align it with the job description. However, I made sure all content stayed accurate and sounded like me. I did not rely on AI to exaggerate experience or create answers I couldn't genuinely explain.

Tailoring Resume to the Job Description

When reviewing the Unbridled internship description, I matched keywords like logistics, attendee experience, adaptability, and professionalism. I adjusted my summary and bullet points to highlight private event coordination and high-volume operations. This made my resume directly reflect the internship responsibilities.

Mock Interview Professionalism & Performance

During the interview, I focused on professionalism — eye contact, confident posture, clear examples, and a strong closing. I explained how my hospitality experience translates to live event support. Next time, I would slow down slightly when answering complex questions to be more concise and structured.

Surprises, Preparedness & Feedback

A question about handling shifting priorities caught me slightly off guard. While I had experience, I hadn't framed it specifically for live events. Overall, I felt prepared. For next time, I would practice more STAR-method responses and prepare more industry-specific examples.

Improving the Workshop

I would suggest adding more interview practice rounds and more structured resume-to-job-description comparisons. This would help students feel more confident and better understand how to tailor applications effectively.
